Field Construction

Postby CareBear » Tue Jun 21, 2011 6:58 am

So we went out yesturday and did some construction on the field. We made a shelter and a picnic table. There is still a couple more things to get done, but did the majority of the work and got all the wood out there. We've also decided to get a bigger tarp so that it would overhand on the ends and come down farther on the sides.

This is constructive criticism,if you had put your boards on end, they will not warp and sag
as fast when they get wet and have weight on them.

Ya me and james don't have too much construction intelligence. The ground underneath the concrete isn't even level. I was told to put boards on their ends over a doorway in a house, i didn't know you should do it outside. Thanks for the tip, i'll use it if we ever had to create something else.

So I went back out there today to do some more work. I made a gun rack, two shelves and a shooting range, all i need is the plywood for the shelves and shooting range. It is a little crowded, but we will see after the first day how everything works.
Image
Gun Rack - I think this is the best thing ever, i always have a hard time working with my markers on the ground lying on bags. This will make it so much easier.
Image
Shelf - I will add plywood on top and it will become a shelf.
Image
Shooting Range - I`ll clear the rear of the building and then add plywood on top of the square. Yes i know it is really crooked ;)

So here is the final day. I finished up the things that i wanted done. Then i cleared the pathway in of some things that you trip on and i fired some of my markers, which both broke in the end

This is a 20 oz holder for test firing, because i always have to hold the thing when i test fire because the remote line make it go all over the place. So now it is safe and secure.

Holy smokes there Domen, when are you moving it?LOL
Is it windy in that area? You should use diagonal supports
to your shandy to prevent it collapsing, but it is looking
slick bud.

Well i don't think we need to worry too much about it collapsing, we take the tarp down everytime we go so all that is left is the frame when we leave. So the wind shouldn't affect it too much.
